Oh, Eliza, you do it so well...
So I am contemplating the change of seasons, and thus the change of wardrobes. For me it goes from shorts and a t-shirt to jeans and a t-shirt, but it wasn't always that way. I used to always be dressed up-- I mean, someone actually had to tell me to buy tennis shoes to take to college because it hadn't occured to me! I don't know where that girl went... it seems like I don't get dressed up during the week, unless I have a lunch date or doctor's appointment. Just when did that happen?
Consequently, Friday nights and Sundays are my days to dress up- but I don't enjoy it nearly as much as I used to. I am out of the habit.
As I contemplate the new season I think, wouldn't it be great if hats, glorious hats, tremendous hats, flamboyant hats were in style? And how about this gown? I mean, tell me you wouldn't get a kick out of wearing this one.
In reality, however, this hat might stand out a little at Target, don't you think?

I think we would all love this style for about a day. Can you imagine the corsets? We just need to designate one day a week where we go do something fun and don't look like moms! :-)
I am so with you - I have a total hat fetish. I want to go to the Kentucky Derby someday, purely for the fact that I can wear an outrageous hat and not stand out. Let's try to bring it back as the new fall trend. How about church Sunday? ;)
I know what you mean about not dressing up during the week. Sometimes when I put on make-up, I think, "When was the last time I did this? Do I even remember how to do it anymore?" How did that happen? :O
I try to at least have my hair and make up done. When it actually happens I am VERY proud of my accomplishment. I will say that lately I have stepped it up a bit. Mainly because of Blake's work. I feel like my image is just as important as his. But boy is it hard to keep up day after day after day.
I just wanted to let you know that you got the "Great Tip Award" from TipJunkie.com for your Cheesecloth Ghosts. Thanks for the inspiration!
That's so great! I'd like to thank... ha ha.
