"We often compare our Weaknesses to others' Strengths."

I heard this recently, wrote it down, and have since heard it many times. I guess I really needed to hear it and now I really need to let it sink in.
Why is it that we can dwell so much on our own weaknesses and on others' stengths?

Soooooooo true! Thanks for reminding me!
wow. I'm sitting here in awe.. thinking that is SO true. I actually always feel inadequate. Blogging has made me even feel more so... So many amazing women out there. I always come away chalking up another weakness of mine... surely I have a strength, or maybe two. :)
Just remember...YOUR wonderful strengths are just as evident to others as theirs are to you! :D
I don't know why we do it. But it's something that I have been trying to work on, consciously, on a daily basis lately. I am constantly stopping myself when I hear those thoughts of self-criticism pop into my mind and trying to challenge them for validity and truth, and tell myself I'm really not doing as bad I as try to convince myself I am.
Wow! That sounded like I was sitting right on the shrink's couch, didn't it!? :-D
Such a great quote. We all do that, and it can be discouraging. I love what nancy said--I see your strengths (and they are many). We all have weaknesses, and each of us strives to do better each day. I'm grateful for the opportunity to grow and improve.
Comparing our weaknesses to other's strengths is a sure way to be unhappy.
We are all so different. It's so much better to appreciate the differences instead of compare them. ☺
You probably don't realize you are one of those kind of people that seems like they have it all! I like what Nancy said.. "YOUR wonderful strengths are just as evident to others as theirs are to you." So true!
I think that is so true! I find myself doing that all the time!!!
Such a true statement! Thanks for posting it...i think we are all guilty of doing this at some point or other.
Ugh...that quote is so true...but it si hard to get over that way of thinking.
