U-Topia *

U2 is amazing.

The concert was beyond fabulous. I could talk about how Bono's voice was incredible, how the band played fantastically, how the set was beyond description, how the visual displays were enthralling, but I won't.

I could pretend that I didn't scream like a schoolgirl and dance like my kids weren't watching (thankfully they weren't), or that I wasn't able to take a pre-concert picture without giggling excitedly, but I won't.

Instead I will just relive my life and love of U2.

U2 is the music that my brother Greg says 'came out from the under the door of my room' when he was young and I was a teenager. I used to listen to the song Bad on repeat as I got ready to go out. Seriously there is no better song.

U2- Circa 1984

In 1987 Joshua Tree came out. It ruled. It rocked. I was amazed. Favorite ballad for the next several years? With Or Without You.

So here we are getting ready to leave. See? Too excited to take a good picture! ;-)

Me and My Sweetie

Time to Go!!!

Just outside the new Dallas Cowboys' Stadium.

Oh, and this night out gave me the perfect opportunity to watch my favorite-of-all-time makeup tutorial (I am not the only one addicted to makeup tutorials, right?) The Smoky Eye.
and try it out for myself.

Here is my favorite-of-all-time picture of Bono with his wife Ali Hewson.

Married since 1982.

Fun, fun, fun.

So glad you had such a GREAT time.

My oldest son is a HUGE U-2 fan and saw them recently in Boston.

I'm giggling too! And my jealousy was just beginning to fade...

I can't believe how young they look in those pics. I know it was 25 years ago, but COME ON! They look like 12 year old boys.

Joshua Tree is and always will be one of my fav albums EVER.

So glad you could go and had so much fun.

I didn't know Bono has been married to his sweetheart for that long - a great example and inspiration!

(And I'm embarrassed that I haven't been here in a while and don't know how long you've had the new header up on your blog.... but I love that picture!!) ;-)
