I was talking with my friend the other day about the mess that is my recipe book.
I use that term loosely. I actually have many books. Some read, some unread. Some given as gifts, some purchased for their prettiness. I have one that is all about Jell-O!
But I also have papers: scraps penned in haste, color-printed booklets from classes, magazine pieces torn out, etc.
My favorite recipes have globs of the recipe dripped on them. I consider this a feature. If you feel so-inclined, you could lick the page-- a taste-test, if you will.
I love recipe blogs. Some of my favorites are Fashionably Foodie, Fooblog, and Bakerella.
The one thing that overwhelms me about recipe books and recipe blogs is that I don't know where to start with trying recipes. Which are good? Which really are 'easy and delicious'? I love to get recipes from friends. I love to get their tried and true, easy-peasy, crowd-pleasing recipes. I also love to share my personal favorites.
Anyway, I am thinking of starting a recipe blog and I am looking for contributors. So, if you would like to share some of your favorite recipes, please let me know in the comments section.

I hope you have great success and lots of fun with your recipe blog! I can't help out because I don't enjoy cooking...most of my cookbooks still look brand new because I don't open them! Tee hee! :D
I would love to add to it! I always love getting recipes from people who have tried them!!
I will definitely come and VISIT your recipe blog.
I love this idea! I'd contribute...it may only be as regularly as I update my blog, but I would contribute!!
Hey! I've been out of the blogging world for a bit, just checking in to see what's new. How is everything with you and your family?
I've actually always wanted to start a recipe blog. I really think it would be a good way to keep track of it all. I'd contribute!
That is a great idea to start a recipe blog. It will help you organize your recipes, and you can focus on one recipe at a time. Sometimes the piles of recipes and books get just too much to deal with, as you say.
