Just a Couple Cards and a Bankroll...

Not many show synopses can compete with this--just another in the line of craziness that I love.

"In tonight's episode, we learn that Kramer and Newman don't carry wallets anymore, 'just a couple cards and a bankroll.' We also learn that Newman secretly reads Elaine's mail and that Newman learned to climb trees like a ringtail lemur in the Pacific Northwest."

Mucilage--say, what?

I am really old.

I was looking at some great vintage clip art and came across this advertisement.

I looked at the word.  Mucilage.
Mucilage?
Mucilage.
Why does that sound SO familiar?

Then, I remembered.
When I was in public school (what Canadians call elementary school) we used to glue things with mucilage.
It looked like this.

I had almost forgotten how we would have to cram the rubber stopper onto the page to release the sticky, honey-like glue.

Then along came Elmer's.
And I forgot all about mucilage.

Horn of Plenty--LDS.org

Okay, so I am home from Church today with my two little kids who are a bit under the weather.  Since it is Sunday, I won't be running around and tidying (hurray!), so I decided to stop by LDS.org and have a look around.

It's been a while since I bopped around the site as I am no longer in the Young Women's program, so imagine my surprise when I found that you can do the entire Personal Progress program online!
  • "Each young woman can link to all of the scriptures, track her progress, submit her plans and report when she is finished with each step as she earns her Young Womanhood Recognition award and medallion. Plus, she can keep her journal securely online and print out the entire book (including her journal) when she is finished."
Then I was amazed to see that there is an Official Radio Station of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints--called the Mormon Channel and that you could listen online to Scripture Stories for Primary Children, stories of Church History on the Legacy Program, the Church News, and much, much more--not to mention links to Mormon Messages, the entire Gospel Library.  The list truly goes on and on and on.

So, hop on over and take a look!  And if you aren't a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but would like to know more, check out Mormon.org. You can ask questions via Live Chat, ask for Missionaries to visit you, or even watch a little Mormon TV.

Happy, happy Sunday to you all!

A Royal Wedding!

“The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton. The wedding will take place in the spring or summer of 2011, in London. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course. Prince William and Miss Middleton became engaged in October during a private holiday in Kenya. Prince William has informed the Queen and other close members of his family. Prince William has also sought the permission of Miss Middleton’s father. Following the marriage, the couple will live in north Wales, where Prince William will continue to serve with the Royal Air Force.”

I guess I need to get my dress!
Oh, and just for the record, the Queen now has a Facebook page. Follow the Royal Happenings here.
