Just a Couple Cards and a Bankroll...

Not many show synopses can compete with this--just another in the line of craziness that I love.

"In tonight's episode, we learn that Kramer and Newman don't carry wallets anymore, 'just a couple cards and a bankroll.' We also learn that Newman secretly reads Elaine's mail and that Newman learned to climb trees like a ringtail lemur in the Pacific Northwest."

The Perfect 'Gotcha!'

~Special thanks to Michou who sent this little diddy by email~

Janet's wedding day was fast approaching. Nothing could dampen her
excitement - not even her parent's nasty divorce.

Her mother had found the PERFECT dress to wear, and would be the
best-dressed mother-of-the- bride ever!

A week later, Janet was horrified to learn that her father's new, young wife had bought the exact same dress as her mother! Janet asked her father's new young wife to exchange it, but she
refused. ''Absolutely not! I look like a million bucks in this dress, and I'm wearing it,'' she replied..

Janet told her mother who graciously said, ''Never mind sweetheart..
I'll get another dress. After all, it's your special day.''

A few days later, they went shopping, and did find another gorgeous dress
for her mother.

When they stopped for lunch, Janet asked her mother, ''Aren't you going to return the other dress? You really don't have another occasion where
you could wear it..."

Her mother just smiled and replied, ''Of course I do, dear.
I'm wearing it to the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding.''

gotcha!

Busted!

You know those times when as a parent you are out-of-the-blue BUSTED in the eyes of your 6-year-old? The big brown eyes get bigger, brows furrow searching yours for truth, and then... the slight nod of, "...oh, I see how it is."

{And no, this has nothing to do with the Big Guy in the red suit.}

It has to do with cereal. And reading.

I am a fan or reading. I really am. But sometimes when our little darlings start to read--we get busted.

It all started out one morning, when I rattled out the cereal choices: Cheerios, Frosted Mini-Wheats, Rice Krispies...

Lilly picked Frosted Mini-Wheats and tried out her new-found rite of passage. Reading the cereal box.

"Frosted Mini-Wh--...Spooners???"

(See above for facial expression)

Then came my explanation-- "Well, you see, these are supposed to taste LIKE Frosted Mini Wheats, and I think they taste better-- it is just that a different company makes them."

She ate with skepticism. Her world just got a little less rosy. Oh, why doesn't Malt-o-Meal advertise??

(and for the record--they DO taste better)

Moto Moto - Big and Chunky

Okay, so watching Madagascar 2 I totally lost it in the theater and nearly peed my pants! This song cracked me up sooo bad! This is just a little music video, but I think that you get the idea.

Moto Moto is like a Barry White of the hippo world. You may think differently of me-- but hey, I am trying to keep it real.

My blog. Remember?

Enjoy! And pass the sweet potatoes...

Overheard in the Ward

Just a peek into the fun little blog called Overheard in the Ward. A blog dedicated to the funny things that we encounter on sundays, you can submit your own little morsels. Here is one that tickled my funnybone.
Embrace Me:

Mr.Monk Goes to China

So my sweet hubby is off to China on business for two weeks. BooHoo!

Our Anniversary is tomorrow. Sniff, sniff.

Comic Relief Moment--

Items found in his car:
2 boxes of wipes
Pre-packaged food bars

So, we love watching Monk, and we have all noticed Monk-isms around our house. This totally cracked me up when I needed a chuckle.
I guess he won't be picking up any funky bugs while he is over there. :)

Male Bonding

Picture It:

A beautiful night out at the Ballpark.
Opening season for the Texas Rangers.
The smell of hot dogs and cotton candy in the air.
Families enjoying time together.
A father and son sit a few rows ahead of us.
Heads together.
Playing Hooters Wing-o!?!?

Red Hot!

"Mom, I love you with the red-hot intensity of a thousand suns."

Is that a great kid, or what? :) Okay, so maybe she said it with a joke in her voice, but I ran to the computer and blogged it as my quote-of-the-day just as fast as my little feet could carry me!

The Facts of LIfe

Nicky: Mom, was I born? Mom, was I born? Mom, was I born?...

Me: (tuning into the incessant chatter...) What?

Nicky: Mom, was I born?

Me: Yes.

Nicky: (to Lilly) Lilly, I was born. True story.

** he picked up this phrase from Big Sister Maddy-- she was very proud!**
