Want to be Tippi

The first Hitchcock movie that I saw--truly saw was The Birds.
I was transfixed as a young teen by the the camera angles, the use of silence, how birds can be made to be so frightening, and by Miss Melanie Daniels--a bored, beautiful, young socialite who travels on a whim to a small California town.
After this movie, and subsequently seeing Marnie, I wanted to be Tippi Hedren.
Seriously, could she be any more glamorous?

Here she is at 79! Yep. Still want to be her.

So I am a Hitchcock lover through and through. But even I think that this is a bit strange...

The Birds Barbie: Available at Amazon for $16.98.

HA HA! That is weird!! I do love that movie, though. Hitchcock rocks. I went through a phase at one point where I rented ALL his movies.

I always thought she was so beautiful.

I still get freaked out when I see a bunch of birds "congregating" on a wire ; )

Love that Barbie--have never seen it.

Craig has never seen that one and every Halloween I tell him we are going to rent it and never do. I LOVE it. I think of it everytime we drive through the Beach St. & 820 intersection. Have you seen the crazy birds down there?! We should go down there and film a spoof! I feel a YW activity coming on...

I think I may also NEED that Barbie. It could be my favorite EVER Halloween decoration.

I've never seen The Birds—I'm chicken, afraid it might be too scary for me. I love Rear Window, though. That Barbie is crazy!
